Kumkum box or Sindoor box with ramcharitmanas book pooja is given to the bride by the groom during an Indian wedding ceremony. 12 kumkum box with ramayanbook ramcharitmanas book pooja Kumkum or Sindoor box is given to the bride by the groom during an Indian wedding ceremony. Sindoor a red or orange-red colored powder is applied for the first time to a Hindu bride during the marriage ceremony- when the bridegroom himself adorns her with it. This bright red powder called Sindoor or Kumkum is the Hindi name for vermillion. It is applied as a red streak along the hair parting of a married Hindu woman. It symbolizes strength and belongingness for every married Indian woman. Donned between the hair partition; sindoor, also known as kumkum, represents years of ancient folklore and beliefs about a woman's validation as a married woman. Put on by the husband during wedding rituals, sindoor is then applied by women every day to mark his presence in her life. Sindooram is a traditional vermilion red or orange-red colored cosmetic powder from the Indian subcontinent, usually worn by married women along the part of their hairline. In Hindu communities, the sindoor is a visual marker of a woman's marital status and ceasing to wear it usually implies widowhood.
